Here are my top prop plays for UFC 214…
Jon Jones (-260) vs. Daniel Cormier (+240)
Cormier by Decision (+500)
Contrary to popular opinion, I think this is the most likely outcome to this light heavyweight title fight scheduled for five rounds. I see Cormier finding success with his wrestling in this rematch, and I think he will do better on the feet as well. This is a coin-flip matchup in my opinion, however, I slightly lean towards Cormier and think the most likely outcome is him winning a decision — possibly a split.
Jason Knight (-115) vs. Ricardo Lamas (-105)
Lamas by Decision (+185)
I think Lamas winning a decision is the most likely outcome to this 145-pound contest scheduled for three rounds. I see him finding success with his takedowns and spending enough time in top position on the mat to secure at least two out of three rounds for a unanimous-decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. Knight will certainly threaten with submissions from bottom position, but I don’t see Lamas getting caught up in anything dangerous. I see him stifling Knight’s attacks from bottom and working his ground-and-pound from top position.
Aljamain Sterling (-120) vs. Renan Barao (+100)
Sterling Inside the Distance (+405)
I believe Sterling can finish this fight, and I see value in the prop at its current offering price of +405.
