Five Props is a column featured on MMAOddsBreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here are five UFC on FOX 25 prop bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers.
1) Chris Weidman by Submission (+560)
Weidman snapped a three-fight losing skid by scoring a third-round submission over the very tough Kelvin Gastelum after being rocked in the first round of action. It was an impressive performance and victory by Weidman, who continues to remain relevant in the UFC’s 185-pound title picture. Congratulations are certainly due to those who backed this Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt to win the fight by submission, as the prop paid out at an excellent +560, which was the biggest to cash on the night.
2) Junior Albini by T/KO (+520)
Albini impressed in his promotional debut by recording a first-round knockout of Timothy Johnson and taking home a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus for his efforts. He said he never had more than $100 at a time in his life, and he left Long Island with $70,000. Congrats are due to him and those who were wise enough to bet this heavyweight to win by T/KO, as the prop paid out at an awesome +520.
3) Marlon Vera by Submission (+500)
Vera scored a first-round armbar submission over Long Island’s own Brian Kelleher, and he now enjoys a three-fight winning streak inside the Octagon, with two of those wins coming by way of finish. The Ecuadorian continues to surprise and impress with each performance, going into enemy territory in back-to-back fights now to record upsets. Kudos to those who backed Vera to win this bout by submission, as the prop paid out at a very sweet +500.
4) Chase Sherman by Decision (+470)
Sherman outstruck Poland’s Damian Grabowski for the majority of three rounds of action to pick up a unanimous-decision victory inside the Octagon for his second straight win. He was clearly the superior striker heading into the contest, finding success in keeping the fight standing and outlanding his opponent in volume. Congrats to those who wagered on “The Vanilla Gorilla” to win this fight on the cards, as the prop paid out at a cool +470.
5) Alex Oliveira by T/KO (+450)
Oliveira scored a come-from-behind flush upset knockout of Long Island’s own Ryan LaFlare in the second round of their bout after being out-grappled in the opening stanza. It was an incredible highlight-reel finish by Oliveira, who is now undefeated in six straight Octagon appearances. Congratulations are certainly in order to those who wagered on the Brazilian to end this fight by T/KO, as the prop paid out at a nice +450.
A $100 parlay on these five props would have netted $769,605
