Professional Fighters League: Everett takes place at the Xfinity Arena in Everett, WA this Saturday (July 29, 2017) at 9 p.m. (ET) live on NBC Sports. In the main event, former WSOF featherweight champion Andre Harrison looks to remain unbeaten when he takes on Steven Rodriguez.
Harrison (16-0) is arguably the best featherweight not signed to the UFC roster, boasting wins over UFC lightweights Desmond Green, Kurt Holobaugh and former WSOF champion Lance Palmer. The 29-year-old defeated Team Alpha Male product Palmer in his last fight, winning by unanimous decision at WSOF 35 in March. Rodriguez (10-2) is coming off a split-decision nod over Alexandre de Almeida at WSOF 35, which pushed his winning streak to eight straight victories. The 28-year-old will be competing for just the third time in the United States.
In the co-main event, former UFC middleweight title challenger Yushin Okami aims for his fourth win in a row when he takes on Brazil’s Andre Lobato. Okami (33-10) returns to the middleweight division for the first time since 2014, and he is coming off a split-decision victory over Paul Bradley at WSOF 34 in December. The 36-year-old hasn’t won four straight fights since 2007. Lobato (25-6) will be making his North American and PFL debut this Saturday. The 32-year old heads into this matchup on a 10-fight win streak.
Jake Shields also returns to the cage for the first time this year as he takes on Danny Davis Jr. Shields (31-9-1) came up short in his WSOF title match against Jon Fitch at WSOF 34 in December, losing by unanimous decision. The 38-year-old — who boasts wins over current UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley and current title challenger Demian Maia — will be looking for his first win since January 2015. Meanwhile, Davis Jr. (13-11-1) heads into this matchup off back-to-back victories, including a third-round knockout win over Anthony Hernandez at Fight Club OC in June. The 34-year-old will be returning to the PFL/WSOF cage for the first time since April of last year and has amassed a 3-3 record with the promotion.
In addition, UFC veteran Bruno Santos looks to make it two straight wins when he takes on Rex Harris in a middleweight encounter. Santos (15-2) went 1-2 in the UFC, defeating Chris Camozzi while losing to Krzysztof Jotko and Elias Theodorou. The 30-year-old was released from the UFC last year and earned a split-decision win over Vagab Vagabov at WSOF 34 in December. Harris (10-2) is riding a six-fight win streak and has gone undefeated (3-0) under the WSOF banner. The 34-year-old hasn’t competed since a July 2016 unanimous-decision victory over Nicolai Salchov at WSOF 32.
