LFA 16 emanates from The Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas this Friday night (June 14, 2017) and will be televised live on AXS TV at 9 p.m. (ET). UFC veteran Johnny Bedford headlines the card against Jimmy Flick.
Bedford (23-12-1) has remained undefeated since his UFC release in 2014, going 4-0 with all of those wins coming by stoppage. The 34-year-old is coming off a first-round TKO victory over Eric Higaonna at WXC 68: Nemesis in April. Meanwhile, Flick (9-3) has won two of his last three fights, including a 50-second submission victory over Ben Vasquez at Xtreme Fight Night 340 back in Feburary. The 26-year-old is looking for his first two-fight win streak since 2012.
In the co-main event, 23-year-old Miles Johns battles 22-year-old Levi Mowles in a bantamweight encounter. Johns (4-0) hasn’t competed since a June 2016 knockout victory over Eliazar Rodriguez at Legacy FC 56. The hometown favorite has won three of his four career fights by stoppage. Mowles (6-2) has won five of his last six fights, including a first-round TKO victory over Keith Bullock at WXC 68 in April. The Legacy FC veteran has never been finished in his eight-fight career.
