Here is my two-way parlay for UFC Fight Night 112…
Middleweight bout: Marvin Vettori (-365) vs. Vitor Miranda (+305)
Gabe’s Thoughts: At this point in their careers, I believe Vettori is the better fighter of the two heading into this 185-pound matchup. They are both coming off losses and looking to bounce back into the win column, with Vettori having dropping a unanimous decision to Antonio Carlos Junior and Miranda coming short on the scorecards against Chris Camozzi. I favor the younger fighter in Vettori to come out on top in this one, be it inside the distance or on the judges’ scorecards. I see this being his fight to lose, and I think he will pick up a victory with an impressive performance this Saturday night in Oklahoma City.
Gabe’s Call: Vettori by T/KO (strikes, 2:13 round 1)
Women’s Strawweight bout: Carla Esparza (-270) vs. Maryna Moroz (+230)
Gabe’s Thoughts: Esparza has a clear wrestling advantage in this contest, and I see her successfully employing it to pick up a unanimous-decision victory, potentially securing a rear-naked choke submission finish along the way. She is coming off a very controversial split-decision loss to Randa Markos and looking to get back in the win column by taking out the Ukrainian in impressive fashion. Moroz has had an extended layoff following a unanimous nod over Cristina Stanciu.
Gabe’s Call: Esparza by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Vettori (-365) and Esparza (-270) at -135
