Cage Warriors 85 takes place at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth, England this Saturday (June 24, 2017) at 1 p.m. (ET). The vacant middleweight title is on the line in the main event, as Jason Radcliffe battles Oskar Piechota.
Radcliffe (11-2) heads into this championship match on a five-fight win streak, stopping all of his opponets in the process. “The Assassin” makes his promotional debut and has only lost once since 2012. Meanwhile, Piechota (8-0-1) is coming off a 36-second TKO victory over Sergio Souza at Spartan Fight 7 in April. The 27-year-old has remained undefeated in his career and boasts five wins by submission along with three knockout victories.
The co-main event features Bellator veteran Martin Stapleton against Donovan Desmae. Stapleton (18-5) was a contestant on TUF 9 and went 0-3 under the Bellator banner, suffering losses to Saad Awad, Derek Campos and Goiti Yamauchi. The 34-year-old had his five-fight win streak snapped in his last fight, as he lost a unanimous decision to Anthony Dizy at Cage Warriors 80 in February. Desmae (9-3) has won seven of his last eight fights and is coming off a unanimous-decision setback to Khusein Askhabov at WWFC: Cage Encounter 5 in December. The Team Shocx product will be making his promotional debut.
