LFA 14 Opening Betting Odds

LFA 14 takes place at the Arena Theater in Houston, Texas on Friday night (June 23, 2017) and will be televised live on AXS TV at 9 p.m. (ET). The vacant LFA middleweight title is up for grabs in the main event as former NCAA football champion Eryk Anders battles Brendan Allen.

Anders (7-0) heads into his first championship matchup on three-fight knockout streak, with all of those wins coming in the first round. The Spartan MMA and Fitness product has only gone the distance once in his career and boasts five-career wins by knockout.

Allen (7-1) is only 21 years old and is currently riding a four-fight win streak with three of those victories coming by submission. His lone loss is to undefeated middleweight Trevin Giles back at Legacy FC 52 in March 2016. The protege of former UFC lightweight Rich Clementi has speant part of his camp at Roufusport with fellow middleweight standouts Gerald Meerschaert and Mike “Biggie” Rhodes.

The co-main event pits a pair of undefeated flyweight’s as Roberto Sanchez takes on Jerome Rivera for the vacant 125-pound title. Sanchez (6-0) has won five of his six career fights by submission and hasn’t gone the distance in a fight since February 2015. “Little Fury” is coming off a second-round submission win over Klayton Mai at LFA 7 this past March. Rivera (7-0) just had a big win over Zac Riley at LFA 10 in April, when he earned a unanimous decision in Riley’s hometown. The 22-year-old has won five of his seven career fights by submission.

Colbey Northcut also makes her professional MMA debut on this card against Courtney King. Northcutt (0-0) is the sister of UFC marketing machine Sage Northcutt and will be competing in MMA for the first time since 2014. The 24-year-old recently moved to California to train at Classic Fight Team with UFC strawweight Ashlee Evans-Smith and kickboxing standout Raymond Daniels. King (0-0) is also 24 and will be making her professional debut as well after going 5-3 as an amateur. She won three of her five amateur fights by knockout.
