MMA Odds and Ends for Friday: Jack Hermansson vs. Brad Scott set for UFC Fight Night 114 in Mexico

UFC officials announced Thursday that a middleweight bout between Jack Hermansson and Brad Scott has been added to UFC Fight Night 114 scheduled for August 5th in Mexico City.

Hermansson (15-3) heads into this matchup off a first-round TKO victory over Alex Nicholson. The 28-year-old has gone 2-1 inside the Octagon. Scott (11-4) has alternated wins and losses in his six fights in the UFC. He’s coming off a split-decision win over Scott Askham.

Arjan Bhullar makes promotional debut against Luis Henrique at UFC 216

Spencer Kyte of The Province broke the news that Canadian and former Olympian Arjan Bhullar will take on Luis Henrique at UFC 216 on September 9th at Rogers Place in Edmonton, AB.

Bhullar (6-0) heads into this matchup off a decision victory over Joe Yager in April. The former Battlefield Fight League heavyweight champion was a 2012 Olympic freestyle wrestler for Canada and made his pro debut in 2014. Henrique (10-3) is coming off a TKO loss to Marcin Tybura at UFC 209. The 23-year-old is 2-2 inside the Octagon.
