Prop Plays for UFC 212

UFC 212: Aldo vs. Holloway

Date: June 3, 2017
Arena: Jeunesse Arena
City: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The Ultimate Fighting Championship is set to return to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the eighth time in promotional history this Saturday (June 3, 2017) with UFC 212: Aldo vs. Holloway. The 12-fight card is scheduled to kick off with preliminary card action on UFC Fight Pass at 6:30 p.m. ET. Prelims will continue on FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m., with the main card getting underway on Pay-Per-View at 10 p.m. If interested in wagering on any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines are available at Several Bookmakers.

Here are my top prop plays for UFC 212:

Claudia Gadelha (-305) vs. Karolina Kowalkiewicz (+275)

Kowalkiewicz +3.5 (-180)

I think Kowalkiewicz stands a good chance of winning at least one round in this fight. I expect this to be a closely contested fight that goes the distance, likely resulting in a split decision.

Vitor Belfort (-160) vs. Nate Marquardt (+140)

Fight Goes to Decision (+450)
Belfort by Decision (+1060)

I see value in both of these props. This is Belfort’s last fight, and with TriStar’s Firas Zahabi in his corner, I think he will have a solid gameplan to outpoint Marquardt. Retiring off a decision victory would be interesting, and I could see it happening. Both fighters have been getting finished a lot lately, so it is likely that the trend will continue here. However, I think there is a good chance that these two battle it out for three rounds to see the judges’ scorecards for a decision.

Yancy Medeiros (-140) vs. Erick Silva (+130)

Silva by Decision (+445)

Medeiros is tough to put away, so I think Silva has a good chance of taking home this victory on the judges’ scorecards. At +445, I think this betting line is tough to pass up.
