Here is my parlay:
Women’s Strawweight bout: Claudia Gadelha (-300) vs. Karolina Kowalkiewicz (+250)
Gabe’s Thoughts: I think this women’s bantamweight contest is closer than the betting odds currently suggest. At these odds, I think we are looking at a “dog or pass” situation, and ultimately, I am going to opt to pass on making a play on the underdog, especially considering the fact that this bout will be on enemy soil for her. I cashed in on her at similar odds when she faced and defeated Rose Namajunas, but this time, the value just isn’t enough for me. I also don’t think Gadelha is worth playing at -300. However, I do think the Total of Over 2.5 rounds at -360 is worth playing, as regardless of the outcome, I think both fighters are to win this bout on the judges’ scorecards much more often than not.
Gabe’s Call: Gadelha by Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)
Women’s Strawweight bout: Viviane Pereira (-130) vs. Jamie Moyle (+110)
Gabe’s Thoughts: Both Pereira and Moyle will be looking to make it two straight wins for themselves inside the Octaon, and Moyle will be traveling to enemy territory in Brazil in order to do so for this contest. I agree with the betting odds in that this is a very close fight. However, I think Moyle should be slightly favored, so I see a bit of value in her at her current offering price of +110. However, that is not my recommended play here, as I think the Total of Over 2.5 rounds at -300 should be the second leg to my two-way parlay here. I think both 115-pounders are more likely to win by decision than finish, and I do see this bout being decided by the judges at Octagon-side.
Gabe’s Call: Moyle by Split Decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28)
Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Gadelha/Kowalkiewicz Over 2.5 rounds (-360) and Pereira/Moyle Over 2.5 rounds (-300) at -143
