GLORY 41 Holland emanates from the Brabanthallen Exhibition Center in Den Bosch, Holland this Saturday (May 20th) live on UFC Fight Pass and ESPN3. In the main event of the Superfight Series, Glory heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven battles Ismael Lazaar in a non-title affair.
Verhoeven (50-10-1) is riding a 12-fight win streak and has not tasted defeat since a 2012 decision loss to Semmy Schilt at Glory 4. Lazaar (28-0-2) will be making his promotional debut and has not fought since a February 2016 win over Jahfarr Wilnis at Enfusion 37.
The vacant featherweight championship is on the line in the co-main event, as Robin van Roosmalen squares off against Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao. Van Roosmalen (13-3) missed weight back in January and was forced to give up his title despite knocking out Matt Embree at Glory 37. Kiatmookao (3-0) is coming off a tournament win at Glory 39 where he defeated Aleksei Ulianov and Serhiy Adamchuk.
On the ESPN3 portion of the Glory 41 card, a heavyweight tournament matchup takes place in the main event as Hesdy Gerges takes on Tomas Hron. Gerges (49-24-18) was slated to face Chi-Lewis Parry. However, an injury forced the UK super heavyweight to pull out of the event. The 33-year-old is in dire need of a victory after losing four straight fights. He faces Hron (81-17-3), who returns to Glory for the first time since 2014. The 35-year-old heads into this matchup on a three-fight win streak.
