LFA 12 emanates from the Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minnesota on Friday night (May 19, 2017) and will be televised live on AXS TV. In the main event, former Legacy FC welterweight champion Derrick Krantz battles Ben Neumann for the vacant LFA welterweight title.
Krantz (19-9) will be competing in the LFA for the second straight fight and has won five of his last six outings. “D-Rock” will look to make it three straight wins for the first time since 2015. Neumann (12-4) has won seven of his last eight fights, with all of those victories coming by way of submission. The 31-year-old has won his last three fights since moving up to the welterweight division.
In the co-feature, middleweight Chase Waldon looks to get back on the winning track against Cully Butterfield. Waldon (10-2) is coming off a first-round submission loss to current UFC middleweight Gerald Meerschart at RFA 45 in October. The loss snapped Waldon’s nine-fight win streak. Butterfield (14-5) snapped a two-fight skid in his last fight, earning a unanimous-decision win ver BJ Lacy at Mecca 9 back in March. The 27-year-old has only fought three times since 2014.
