Here is my parlay:
Women’s Bantamweight bout: Alexis Davis (-275) vs. Cindy Dandois (+235)
Gabe’s Thoughts: Dandois is making her UFC debut with some hype behind her, and she is getting a desperate Alexis Davis, who is eager to find her way back into the win column. I think Davis is the superior mixed martial artist of the two heading into this matchup, and I see her getting the better of Dandois everywhere. I do think Davis can earn a dominant victory here, and I do favor a finish. I see Davis out-striking Dandois on the feet and out-grappling her on the mat. And should the fight hit the mat, I think Davis will manage to secure either a ground-and-pound TKO stoppage or a rear-naked choke submission victory. I see this as being Davis’ fight to lose, and I think she gets back into the win column on Saturday night.
Gabe’s Call: Davis by T/KO (punches, 3:14 round 2)
Lightweight bout: Bryan Barberena (-320) vs. Joe Proctor (+260)
Gabe’s Thoughts: Proctor is making his return to the Octagon following a two-year layoff and will be looking to put on an impressive performance against Barberena, who recently saw his winning streak snapped by Colby Covington. I believe Barberena is the better, tougher fighter of the two heading into this 155-pound contest. and I see him getting the better of Proctor everywhere. Proctor has solid striking and grappling skills, but I see Barberena’s toughness and grit making a difference. I do favor the MMA Lab product in this matchup, and I see him returning to the win column in impressive fashion this weekend in Nashville.
Gabe’s Call: Barberena by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 20-27, 30-27)
Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Davis and Barberena at -127
