The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heads back to Buffalo, NY for the second time in promotional history and first time in nearly 22 years with UFC 210: Cormier vs. Johnson II. The stacked 13-fight card is set to kick off with four preliminary fights on UFC Fight Pass at 6:15 p.m. ET, with preliminary action continuing on FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m. and the main card getting underway at 10 p.m. on Pay-Per-View. Here is my parlay:
Featherweight bout: Myles Jury (-400) vs. Mike De La Torre (+325)
Gabe’s Thoughts: Jury’s 145-pound debut was unsuccessful, as he was submitted by Charles Oliveira in the opening stanza. Now after an extended layoff, he is ready to get back in the Octagon and pick up his first career win as a UFC featherweight. I believe he will do so, and likely in impressive fashion, as I believe he is the far superior mixed martial artist heading into this contest. I see Jury getting the better of De La Torre both on the feet and on the mat, and I do favor a finish in this matchup. At -400, I think Jury holds value, as I think he should be a 7-to-1 betting favorite in this spot.
Gabe’s Call: Jury by Submission (standing guillotine choke, 3:41 round 1)
Featherweight bout: Shane Burgos (-200) vs. Charles Rosa (+170)
Gabe’s Thoughts: Rosa is tough and a game opponent, but I think he is outmatched and outgunned against the undefeated Tiger Schulmann product Burgos. I think it is a close fight on the mat, but i expect Burgos to control the action on the feet and make it his fight. I was hoping to get him at a better price, but people are wiser than I hoped in regards to this one, as early betting action came in on Burgos to drive his price up from the opening line of -165. I wish I had gotten him at that price, but I think he is still worth a play at -200, as I think he should be a -240 betting favorite in this featherweight matchup.
Gabe’s Call: Burgos by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)
Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Jury (-400) and Rosa (-200) at -115
