Bellator 175: Rampage vs. King Mo II Date: March 31, 2017 Arena: Allstate Arena City: Rosemont, IL Bellator Fighting Championship (Bellator FC) heads to Rosemont, IL outside Chicago this Friday (March 31, 2017) for Bellator 175: Rampage vs. King Mo II. The five-fight main card is set to kick off at 9 p.m. ET on Spike TV, with preliminary action preceding it on the promotion’s website at 6:45 p.m. If interested in wagering on any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines are available at Several Bookmakers. Here is my parlay: Heavyweight bout: Mo Lawal (-345) vs. Quinton Jackson (+285) Gabe’s Thoughts: Jackson will certainly have the size advantage heading into this one, as he weighed in 40-pounds more than Lawal. That said, I think “King Mo” is still going to find success in putting him on his back and keeping him there, rinse and repeat for three rounds en route to a unanimous-decision victory on the judges’ scorecards in this rematch. “Rampage” is definitely not in shapem and I expect Mo to take advantage of it. He has outgripped big heavyweights before, such as Cheick Kongo, so I think he gets the job done against Jackson as well. A finish would not surprise me, but I favor him to pick up the victory on the cards. Gabe’s Call: “King Mo” by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Catchweight bout: Emmanuel Sanchez (-260) vs. Marcos Galvao (+220) Gabe’s Thoughts: Galvao has the better submission game, but I think Sanchez is the better overall mixed martial artist heading into this catchweight contest that was originally scheduled for 145 pounds until Sanchez missed the featherweight limit by four pounds. He forfeits 20 percent of his purse to Galvao and the fight goes on. However, it is also worth noting that Galvao was stepping up from 135 pounds for this matchup, and now he is giving up additional weight to his opponent on top of that. Certainly, Sanchez will have the size advantage heading into this scrap, and I think that will benefit him during exchanges in the grappling and clinch. I think the only way Galvao wins this fight is by catching Sanchez with something lucky, and the odds of that happening are slim. Sanchez can generally be trusted with his chin and submission defense plus awareness. Gabe’s Call: Sanchez by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Gabe’s Recommeded Parlay: Lawal (-345) and Sanchez (-220) at -128 All of my content and plays are free.
