Chael Sonnen vs. Wanderlei Silva headline Bellator 180 PPV event at MSG The Associated Press reported Monday that Bellator 180 will take place June 24th at Madison Square Garden in New York and be televised on Pay-Per-View, with Chael Sonnen vs. Wanderlei Silva serving as the headliner. This is the second time Bellator has gone the PPV route, as Bellator 120 headlined by Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal was the first in May 2014. Sonnen (29-14-1) is coming off a first-round submission loss to Tito Ortiz at Bellator 170 in January. It was the 39-year-old’s first fight since 2013 after serving a two-year suspension for PED’s. Silva (35-12-1) hasn’t competed since a 2013 TKO win over Brian Stann at UFC on FUEL 8. The 40-year-old was handed a lifetime ban for evading a drug test in 2014, which was eventually reduced. Ryan Bader to sign with Bellator MMA According to MMAJunkie, former UFC light heavyweight Ryan Bader has signed a multi-fight contract with Bellator MMA. Bader (22-5) has won seven of his last eight fights, including a third-round TKO victory against Antônio Rogério Nogueira this past November at UFC Fight Night 100. The 33-year-old won Season 8 of The Ultimate Fighter and boasts wins over Ovince St. Preux, Rashad Evans and current Bellator 205-pound champion Phil Davis. No word on when Bader will make his Bellator debut or against which opponent. Stay tuned to MMAOddsBreaker.com for updates on Bellator’s latest free-agent acquisition. Derrick Lewis vs. Mark Hunt slated for UFC Fight Night 110 in New Zealand MMAJunkie.com also reported on Monday that heavyweights Derrick Lewis and Mark Hunt are set to clash in the main event of UFC Fight Night 110. The UFC hasn’t been back to New Zealand since 2014 at UFC Fight Night 43, where Nate Marquardt submitted James Te Huna in the main event. Lewis (18-4) has won six straight fights and is coming off an impressive second-round TKO victory versus Travis Browne at UFC Fight Night Halifax earlier this year. The 32-year-old has gone 9-2 in the UFC. Hunt (12-11-1), a New Zealand native currently living in Australia, is currently under a medical suspension until April 19th due to a leg injury he suffered in a knockout loss to Alistair Overeem at UFC 209. UFC Fight Night 110 takes place Sunday, June 11th at Vector Arena in Auckland, North Island, New Zealand. UFC 210: Desmond Green – Week #4 Video Blog
