Roy Nelson vs. Alexander Volkov set for UFC on FOX 24 FOXSports.com reported that heavyweight Roy Nelson will return to action against Alexander Volkov at UFC on FOX 24 on April 15th. Nelson (22-13) is coming off a knockout victory over Antonio Silva on September 24th at UFC Fight Night 95 in Brazil. The 41-year-old has only won twice in his last nine fights. Meanwhile, Volkov (27-6) heads into this matchup on a three-fight win streak, including a split-decision victory over Timothy Johnson at UFC Fight Night 99 in his last fight. UFC on FOX 24 takes place at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO. RIZIN adds UFC veterans Tatsuya Kawajiri vs. Anthony Birchak to upcoming show RIZIN announced that UFC veterans Tatsuya Kawajri and Anthony Birchack will clash in a featherweight bout on the promotions upcoming April 16th show. Kawajri (35-11-2) heads into this matchup off a three-fight skid and will be looking for his first win since 2015. The 38-year-old is competing in just his second fight since leaving the UFC. Birchack (13-3) will compete for the first time departing the UFC late last year and has gone 2-2 in his last four fights. The former MFC bantamweight champion competes in Japan for the first time in his career.
