Here are my live dogs: Middleweight bout: Scott Askham (-155) vs. Brad Scott (+135) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think Scott is the superior mixed martial artist of the two heading into this middleweight contest. I see his advantages in boxing, wrestling and cardio making the difference, as I think he will be able to outbox Askham, as well as take him down and grind him out. I won’t argue that this is a close fight, however, I think the lines should be flipped, as I think Scott should be a -150 betting favorite heading into this bout. At his current underdog price-tag of +135, I do favor him for a wager. Gabe’s Call: Scott by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Scott (+135) Women’s Bantamweight bout: Lina Lansberg (-290) vs. Lucie Pudilova (+245) Gabe’s Thoughts: The UFC had trouble finding an opponent for Lansberg in their razor-thin division, so they brought a former opponent of hers to face her in a rematch. Pudilova will be making her UFC debut on a three-fight winning streak and looking for settle the score against Lansberg. Their first fight was not that close, but I think this one will be closer — much closer than the betting odds currently indicate — and I would not be surprised to see Pudilova pull off the upset victory. For my official pick, I have to side with Lansberg, however, I think Pudilova holds value at the current price.
