UFC Fight Night 105: Lewis vs. Browne Date: February 19, 2017 Arena: Scotiabank Centre City: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada for the second time in promotional history this Sunday (February 19, 2017) with UFC Fight Night 105: Lewis vs. Browne. The 11-fight card is set to kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET on UFC Fight Pass, then continue with preliminary action on FOX Sports 1 at 7 p.m. The six-fight main card will get underway at 9 p.m. on the same channel. If interested in wagering on any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available to you at Several Bookmakers. Here are my prop plays: Derrick Lewis (-115) vs. Travis Browne (-105) Browne by Submission (+950) I think this prop offers the best betting value for this fight, as I believe Browne has a big advantage in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has been sharpening his submission game under the tutelage of Ricky Lundell out of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, and I believe he will have a good chance at ending this fight by submission, should it hit the mat. Most expect this fight to be a slugfest that ends in knockout, but it is possible that it could be a grappling matchup, whether it starts out as a slugfest or not. Hector Lombard (-125) vs. Johny Hendricks (+115) Lombard in Round One (+300) Hendricks in Round One (+800) I think this fight ends in the opening frame, and while I favor Lombard to score the finish, I think Hendricks has a shot too and is worth a flier at +800. Paul Felder (-400) vs. Alex Ricci (+355) Ricci +3.5 (+165) I am picking Ricci to win this fight outright, which means I feel quite confident in the +3.5 prop. Carla Esparza (-265) vs. Randa Markos (+245) Esparza in Round Three (+1750) Esparza by Decision (-132) I favor Esparza to win this fight on the judges’ scorecards. However, I could see her earning a late finish because Markos has a history of fading in the third round. If Esparza hunts for a finish, I think she will have a good chance at finding it. Aiemann Zahabi (-235) vs. Reginaldo Vieira (+215) Zahabi by Submission (+440) I think this is the most likely outcome to this 135-pound contest. I recommended this prop on Twitter at +500, and it went up to +550 for a bit but has since fallen to +440. Get on it before it drops further, as I think there is a good chance we cash this ticket on Sunday. Gerald Meerschaert (-295) vs. Ryan Janes (+265) Meerschaert by T/KO (+332) I think a T/KO victory by Meerschaert is the most likely outcome to this middleweight contest and see value in the prop at the current offering price of +332.
