In one line, I will be providing my own personal description for every fight ahead of us at tonight’s UFC 208. I will also be following the Twitter rule of thumb of keeping them in 140 characters or less. If interested in wagering on this parlay, or any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines are currently made available at Several Bookmakers. And without further ado, here are my one-liners for UFC 205 in New York City… MAIN CARD (PAY PER VIEW) Germaine De Randamie vs. Holly Holm The inaugral UFC Women’s 145-pound Champion will be crowned in this 5-round main event, and fireworks are expected when these ladies clash. Anderson Silva vs. Derek Brunson Fight fans don’t know what to make of this middleweight match-up, but we sure are excited to see “The Spider” back in a winnable fight. Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza vs. Tim Boetsch Souza is hopeful that a win over Boetsch will put him ahead of Yoel Romero in the bid for a shot at Michael Bisping and his 185-pound gold. Glover Teixeira vs. Jared Cannonier The veteran Teixeira takes on an up and comer in Cannonier in this light heavyweight showdown that is not expected to go the distance. Dustin Poirier vs. Jim Miller A lightweight scrap that is expected to kick off the evening’s main card on a high note that many pick to take home the ‘FOTN’ bonus. PRELIMINARY CARD (FOX SPORTS 1) Belal Muhammad vs. Randy Brown Muhammad steps in on short notice to take on Brooklyn’s own Brown in this welterweight affair that is likely to have the NY crowd riled up. Wilson Reis vs. Ulka Sasaki Reis hopes a victory over Sasaki will put him ahead of Joseph Benavidez in a bid to challenge Demetrious Johnson for his 125-pound gold. Nik Lentz vs Islam Makhachev This is a featherweight match-up between a veteran grappler and an up and coming grappler, so this is likely to be a three round grindfest. Ian McCall vs Jarred Brooks This is one of the most anticipated fights on the card, as both flyweights are eagerly looking forward to taking each others heads off. PRELIMINARY CARD (UFC FIGHT PASS) Phillipe Nover vs Rick Glenn Former WSOF featherweight champion Glenn travels to enemy territory and looks for his first UFC victory against TUF 8 veteran Nover. Ryan LaFlare vs Roan Carneiro LaFlare returns from an extended layoff against Carneiro in this ‘wrestler vs BJJ black belt’ matchup that will kick off the prelims.
