Here is my parlay: Inaugural Women’s Featherweight title bout: Holly Holm (+105) vs. Germaine De Randamie (-125) Gabe’s Thoughts: This is a striker versus striker matchup, but many think Holm will opt to use her wrestling here, as she has been working it for years with coach Izzy Martinez. We have never seen her employ her wrestling inside the Octagon, so it is possible that we will finally see Holm attempt takedowns in this contest. I am not as confident as others that she will try to wrestle, but I think it is very possible. She is a striker at heart though, and I believe she will initially look to get the better of De Randamie on the feet. I see her failing to do so, as I believe the Dutchwoman is the superior striker of the two heading into this contest. If this fight stays standing, I see De Randamie winning, either by stoppage or decision, though I do think a knockout victory is the most likely outcome. Should Holm look to wrestle, I think there is a good chance that De Randamie successfully defends her takedown attempts and keeps the fight standing. However, if Holm does find success in taking the fight to the mat, I don’t think she will be successful in keeping it there, as I do not think her wrestling is really good at all. I don’t see her being able to control “The Iron Lady” on the mat. I see the majority of this fight taking place on the feet, where I favor De Randamie to eventually find Holm’s chin and shut her down. I could also see her finishing Holm with knees against the cage or inside her clinch. I believe De Randamie has more ways of winning this fight and see a lot of value in her at her current offering price of -125. Gabe’s Call: De Randamie by T/KO (strikes, 4:31 round 1) Lightweight bout: Dustin Poirier (-470) vs. Jim Miller (+375) Gabe’s Thoughts: Poirier versus Miller is a classic case of a fighter on his way up against a veteran on his way out. I expect Poirier to impress in this contest and return to the win column in dominant fashion. I see this as being his fight to lose, and I think it is 50/50 as to whether he takes it by T/KO or on the judges’ scorecards. Gabe’s Call: Poirier by T/KO (punches, 2:34 round 1) Gabe’s Recommeded Parlay: De Randamie (-125) and Poirier (-470) at +120 All of my content and plays are free. Your support is greatly appreciated.
