It would not surprise me to see her earn a finish, but I think a win by decision is more likely for Pena. Gabe’s Call: Pena by Unanimous Decision (48-47, 48-47, 48-47) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Pena (+135) 2u to win 2.7u Welterweight bout: Donald Cerrone (-145) vs Jorge Masvidal (+125) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think Masvidal should be a slight betting favorite in this 170-pound contest, which makes me like him for a value play at his current underdog price tag of +125. I think he is more likely to win this fight both inside the distance and on the judges’ scorecards. He is also mentally tougher than Cerrone and has absolutely no quit in him. He was known as a slow starter at 155-pounds but has been putting the pedal to the metal since moving up to welterweight. I see Masvidal outstriking Cerrone in this contest, and perhaps outwrestling him, as well. I can see him finding success with his wrestling and ground and pound, while defending Cerrone’s submission attacks from the bottom. Despite being on enemy territory in Cerrone’s hometown of Denver, CO., I think Masvidal should be the betting favorite here, so I will gladly take him at dog odds.
