Kickboxing promotion GLORY returns tomorrow (Friday, January 20, 2017) for what has now become a near-monthly event. The show will air live from Los Angeles, California. Glory 36 features a middleweight title bout, a featherweight title bout and many more high profile contests. The main event of the evening will be the middleweight championship of the world, as champion Jason Wilnis defends the belt for the first time against challenger Israel Adesanya. Wilnis (29-6-1) earned the belt in his last fight via third round TKO over former champ Simon Marcus at Glory 33. Adesanya (50-3-2) earned his title shot by winning the middleweight contender tournament back at Glory 34. The featherweight title bout features champion Robin van Roosmalen against challenger Matt Embree. Van Roosmalen (47-16-3) is the former lightweight champ and earned the featherweight strap after dropping a weight class and defeating Gabriel Varga at Glory 34. Embree (39-7) earned his title shot after winning the featherweight contender tournament at Glory 33. Oddsmaker Nick Kalikas opened the betting lines for GLORY 37 today at Several Bookmakers. The main card will air on ESPN 3 at 1:00 am ET late Friday night/Saturday morning with the prelims airing on UFC Fight Pass at 10:30 pm ET. ——————– GLORY 37 LOS ANGELES The Novo by Microsoft Los Angeles, CA Friday, January 20 Main Card (1:00 a.m. ET, ESPN3) Middleweight Title: Jason Wilnis +120 Israel Adesanya -160 Heavyweight Fight: D’Angelo Marshall +235 Guto Inocente -315 Superfight Series (10:30 pm.
