With the first UFC event of 2017 kicking things off tonight, it’s time for round two as UFC on Fox 23 takes place in two weeks (Saturday, January 28) in Denver, Colorado. The event is headlined by a number one contender bout in the women’s bantamweight division between Valentina Shevchenko and Julianna Pena. Both women have had tremendous success inside the Octagon, with Shevchenko most recently defeating former champion Holly Holm and Pena last beating former title challenger Cat Zingano. In the co-main event, welterweight sluggers Donald Cerrone and Jorge Masvidal will duke it out in a showdown taking place after Masvidal called Cerrone out. Also on tap will be a thrilling heavyweight showdown between Andrei Arlovski and Francis Ngannou as well as a bantamweight fight between Aljamain Sterling and Raphael Assuncao.
