With 2016 about to be in our rear view, it’s time to look forward to the next UFC events in 2017, and things kick off with UFC Fight Night 103 in two weeks (January 14, 2017) in Phoenix, Arizona. The event is headlined by a featherweight battle between surging prospect Yair Rodriguez and UFC Hall of Famer and former two-division champion BJ Penn. Rodriguez is on a roll in his UFC career and looking for a signature win while Penn is coming out of retirement and finally hoping to get back into the cage after several delays. Also on tap is a major bantamweight showdown between top 10-ranked contenders Bryan Caraway and Jimmie Rivera. Both men are on win streaks and are coming off the biggest victories of their careers as Rivera defeated Urijah Faber while Caraway knocked off top prospect Aljamain Sterling. Lightweights Joe Lauzon and Marcin Held are also expected to duke it out while in flyweight contender action, John Moraga battles Sergio Pettis. MMA oddsmaker Nick Kalikas opened the betting lines for a few of the expected main card bouts of the event today at Several Bookmakers.
