I see the sport headed in that direction, as much as the promotions are currently fighting against it. I also look forward to new stars being born, I love seeing talent get a chance to rise to the top. “What were your most impressive and most disappointing moments from the FOX card?” – Nick, Orange, NJ I’ll start with the disappointing. Paige VanZant getting dominated and finished by Michele Waterson in that manner, so effortlessly. I don’t know if I should be more impressed with Waterson or more disappointed with VanZant, but considering I felt confident that PVZ would manage to grind out a victory in this matchup, I feel pretty disappointed how things ended up. I knew that if she were to lose, it would most likely be because she got caught in a submission. However, seeing it play out and that quickly was still a bit of a surprise, even though it wasn’t really. I was very disappointed with James Moontasri. The guy has several losses in the UFC against opponents he should have been able to defeat. His poor cardio cost him those bouts, as he fades whenever unable to finish an opponent within the seven minutes of action. He clearly does not take his career seriously and does not deserve to be competing on the worlds largest stage. I’m so dissapointed in him that I went from being a big fan to no longer caring for him at all. I’ve had a major change of heart on “Moonwalker” and I believe the best days of his professional fighting career are behind him. “What were your most and least favorite MMA moments of the year?” – Luke, UK My favorite moments were seeing Michael Bisping and Eddie Alvarez realize their dreams of becoming UFC champions while I was live in attendance for both events; UFC 199 in Los Angeles and UFC Fight Night 98 in Las Vegas. My least favorite moment, not really a fight-related moment, but it was the passing of the great Josh Samman, who was only 28 years of age and had a bright future ahead of him.
