Five Props that Cashed Big at UFC 207

Cody-Garbrandt1Five Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here are five UFC 207 prop bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers. 1) Amanda Nunes by T/KO (+264) Amanda Nunes successfully defended her UFC Women’s Bantamweight title with a first round TKO of former title holder “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey. Rousey made the mistake of boxing with Nunes, not having learned a lesson from the Holm fight, and used absolutely zero head movement or footwork. She ate punches until she was nearly out on her feet. Nunes executed a great gameplan and stopped Rousey at just 48 seconds into the contest, scoring the most impressive victory of her professional mixed martial arts career against someone who many believed to be her stiffest test to date. Congrats are in order to those who backed the Brazilian to win this fight by T/KO, as the prop cashed out at a solid +264. 2) Cody Garbrandt by Decision (+1200) Cody Garbrandt made history by defeating Dominick Cruz via unanimous decision to become the new UFC Bantamweight Champion. Cruz had his moments in the fight but Garbrandt got the better of him over the course of the 25 minutes of action en route to picking up a unanimous nod from the judges’ at Octagon-side. It was a very impressive outing by the Team Alpha Male product, who kept his undefeated record intact at 12-0 and plans to give Cruz a rematch, while former teammate TJ Dillashaw waits in the wings. Congratulations are definitely in order to those who wagered on “No Love” to take this fight on the judges’ scorecards, as the prop was the biggest of the evening to cash at a whopping +1200. 3) Dong Hyun Kim by Decision (+250) Dong Hyun Kim scored a controversial split decision win over former Strikeforce welterweight champion Tarec Saffiedine and he now enjoys a three fight winning streak inside the Octagon. Not a great win, but also not the worst way for “Stun Gun” to return to action following an extended injury layoff. Props to those who wagered on him to win this fight by decision, as you made out like bandits with +250. 4) Antonio Carlos Junior by Decision (+302) Antonio Carlos Junior defeated Marvin Vettori via unanimous decision after a closely contested three rounds of action. The Brazilian was able to get the better of the Italian for the majority of three out of the three scheduled rounds of action to pick up the unanimous decision win on the judges’ scorecards. Following a setback against Dan Kelly, ACJ now enjoys a three fight winning streak and looks to extend it to four in early 2017. Congratulations are in order to thosew ho backed him to earn this victory on the judges’ scorecards, as you made out with a cool +302. 5) Niko Price by Submission (+585) Niko Price was impressive in his promotional debut, taking down Brandon Thatch and submitting him with an arm triangle choke in the opening round of their bout. It was a picture perfect UFC debut for the undefeated Price, who plans to make an impact in the UFC’s welterweight division in the coming year. Congratulations are certainly in order to those who wagered on him to hand Thatch his fourth consecutive submission defeat, as you made out with a beautiful +585! A $100 parlay on these five props would have netted $455,967.
