UFC 206’s John Makdessi: ‘I hope to God Lando underestimates me’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC 206 lightweight John Makdessi as he prepares for his upcoming preliminary card bout tonight (Saturday, December 10, 2016) against Lando Vannata at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The talented Canadian striker feels he still has some tricks up his sleeve that upcoming opponent Vannata won’t be prepared to handle:

“My third fight in the UFC, I was 9-0 and I fought Dennis Hallman, twice my size and much more experienced. It’s not like boxing where they just build up the fighters. At the end of the day, records don’t mean anything in MMA. I don’t focus on the records. I hope to God [Lando Vannata] underestimates me. He said it would be a flawless victory for him so I’m happy he’s very confident and we’ll see December 10th.”
