Bryan Caraway vs. Jimmie Rivera in the works for UFC Fight Night 103 Our very own Gabe Killian broke the news Tuesday that bantamweights Bryan Caraway and Jimmie Rivera are set to clash in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 103 in Phoenix. Caraway (21-7) heads into the matchup off back-to-back wins against Eddie Wineland and most recently Aljamain Sterling at UFC Fight Night 88. Meanwhile, Rivera (20-1) is coming off the biggest win of his career, as he outpointed Urijah Faber via unanimous decision at UFC 203. The New Jersey native has won 19 straight fights. UFC Fight Night 103 takes place January 15th at the Talking Stick Arena in Phoenix, Arizona. Shelton (10-2 MMA) announced the fight on his Instagram (below), however, MMA Journalist Mike Russell revealed the fight on Twitter before that. The 25-year-old heads into this matchup off a four-fight win streak. Pantoja (16-2) hasn’t lost a matchup since 2010 and comes into this fight on a nine-fight win streak.
UFC on FOX 23 takes place on January 28th at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. The only other matchup annouced is a middleweight encounter between Sam Alvey taking on Nate Marquardt.
