UFC Fight Night 101: Whittaker vs Brunson Date: November 26, 2016 Arena: Rod Laver Arena City: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heads to Melbourne, Victoria, Australia for the second time in promotional history with UFC Fight Night 101: Whittaker vs Brunson. The event will be featuring a 13-fight card that is set to kick off with preliminary action on UFC Fight Pass at 6:30pm, and prelims will continue on FOX Sports 1 at 8pm, which will culminate into the main card on the same channel at 10pm. If interested in wagering on any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakers. Here are my prop plays: Jake Matthews (-450) vs Andrew Holbrook (+400) Holbrook by Submission (+755) 1u to win 7.55u I think this is a realistic outcome to this lightweight match-up and I could see the massive underdog pulling the upset with a submission finish. Khalil Rountree (-135) vs Tyson Pedro (+125) Fight Goes to Decision (+240) 1u to win 2.4u Pedro by Decision (+535) 1u to win 2.4u Contrary to popular opinion, I think these 205-pounders survive any early trouble to battle it out for a judges’ decision, where I favor Pedro to earn the nod largely in part due to his superior grappling. Seo Hee Ham (-120) vs Danielle Taylor (+110) Taylor by Decision (+235) 1u to win 2.35u I see value in this line, as I think it is the most likely outcome to this women’s strawweight affair. Chris Camozzi (-220) vs Daniel Kelly (+200) Kelly by Decision (+324) 1u to win 3.24u I slightly favor Camozzi to get the win here but his poor takedown defense could cost him another decision here, should Kelly prove to have a good fight IQ. Richard Walsh (-105) vs Jonathan Meunier (-105) Meunier by Submission (+585) 1u to win 2.35u On paper, Walsh has a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu edge over Meunier, considering he is a brown belt, while Meunier wears a purple belt. However, in reality, I think Meunier is more likely to submit Walsh than the other way around. I got the Meunier by Submission prop at +910 last night, but I think it still holds value at +585. Dan Hooker (-160) vs Jason Knight (+150) Knight by Submission (+995) 1u to win 9.95u Knight has an excellent submission game and I think he can capitalize on the mat and force a tap from Hooker. At +995, I think this betting line holds tremendous value, as I see this as being a realistic outcome to this featherweight contest.
