UFC Fight Night 100: Bader vs Nogueira II Date: November 19, 2016 Arena: Ibirapuera Gymnasium City: Sao Paulo, Brazil The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heads to Sau Paolo, Brazil for the fifth time in promotional history with UFC Fight Night 100: Bader vs Nogueira II. The 12-fight main card will get going with UFC Fight Pass prelims at 6pm ET, directly following the preceding UFC Fight Night 99 broadcast from Belfast. Preliminary action will then continue on FOX Sports 1 at 7pm and culminating with the main card on the same channel at 9pm. If interested in wagering on these plays, or any plays for this fight card, all betting lines will be made available at Several Bookmakers. Here are my live dogs: Bantamweight bout: Thomas Almeida (-310) vs Albert Morales (+280) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think Morales should be a slight betting favorite heading into this contest, so I love him for a play at the current offering underdog price tag of +280. I think Morales is capable of winning this fight by T/KO, submission or decision. I favor him to put Almeida away with his hands, but I could also see him latching on to a guillotine choke and calling it a wrap. Should the fight hit the judges’ scorecards for a decision, I think Morales’ superior boxing will prove to be the difference in the tally. Almeida is coming off the first official loss of his professional mixed martial arts career and will be looking to hand Morales his first loss. Coming off a controversial draw against Alejandro Perez, Morales will be looking to avoid tasting defeat for the first time. He will aim to put the UFC’s bantamweight division on check with an impressive victory over Almeida on enemy territory in Brazil, and I favor him to get the job done. I am a Thomas Almeida fan, as well as a fan of Morales, and at +280, I feel this is a no brainer for a big play on the Californian to pull off the upset and silence the Brazilian crowd in Sao Paulo. Gabe’s Call: Morales by T/KO (punches, 0:39 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Morales (+280) 5u to win 14u Middleweight bout: Thales Leites (-130) vs Krzysztof Jotko (+120) Gabe’s Thoughts: Jotko keeps getting better and better. This is a step up in competition for him and the stiffest test of his professional mixed martial arts career. A victory here will earn him a Top 10 ranked opponent and make him relevant in the UFC’s 185-pound division. I think this is a close fight, and a “crossroads” fight; Leites, the longtime veteran who doesn’t many years left in him, and Jotko, the surging prospect who is gunning to be the first male fighter to bring a UFC Championship to Poland. I think Jotko should be slightly favored in this contest, so I’ll side with him for a play at his current asking price of +120. Wager with caution, as I believe this to be a serious test for the Pole, however it’s one I think he is very capable of passing. Gabe’s Call: Jotko by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Jotko (+120) 2u to win 2.2u
