Here are my live dogs: Middleweight bout: Cezar Ferreira (+175) vs Jack Hermansson (-210) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think this fight is closer than the betting odds currently suggest; in fact, I think Ferreira should be slightly favored heading into the contest, which makes me favor him for a value play at his current offering underdog pricetag of +175. Ferreira currently enjoys a three fight winning streak with a pair of unanimous decision wins over Oluwale Bambgose and Anthony Smith, and coming off the win over Smith, he heads into this contest looking to make it three straight by taking out Hermansson. The Swede is coming off a unanimous decision win over Scott Askham in his UFC debut and enjoys a nine fight winning streak heading into this bout on enemy territory in Brazil. I think “Mutante” has a good chance of submitting Hermansson in this bout, but if he fails to find the finish, I think he can outgrind him for a unanimous decision nod from the judges’ at Octagon-side. Gabe’s Call: Ferreira by Submission (D’Arce choke, 1:05 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Ferreira (+175) 3u to win 5.25u Light Heavyweight bout: Marcos Rogerio De Lima (-150) vs Gadzhimurad Antigulov (+130) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think Antigulov should be favored at the sportsbooks in this contest against De Lima, as I think he is the fighter more likely to finish, as well as win on the scorecards. The main reason I am hesitant from going big is the fact that this is his Octagon debut, but I think he should come out on top with his hand raised on enemy soil in Brazil. At his current offering underdog price of +130, I believe he is the right side for a play here. Gabe’s Call: Antigulov by T/KO (punches, 3:44 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Antigulov (+130) 2u to win 2.6u Bantamweight bout: Manny Gamburyan (+140) vs Johnny Eduardo (-160) Gabe’s Thoughts: Simply put, I think this is a coin-flip match-up, so I’ll take a shot at Gamburyan at his current underdog price of +140. Gabe’s Call: Gamburyan by Submission (guillotine choke, 1:39 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Gamburyan (+140) 1.5u to win 2.1u
