UFC Fight Night 99’s Kevin Lee: ‘This one is about testing my mental strength’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 99 lightweight Kevin Lee as he prepares for his upcoming preliminary card bout this Saturday (November 19, 2016) against Magomed Mustafaev at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Ireland.

Lee talks about his opponent Mustafaev and training leading up to UFC Fight Night 99:

“I wasn’t too interested at first. I kind of put up a little fight with them. And then Dana (White) called me personally and convinced me to take the fight. He made some good points and made it make sense to me. The last time I had a fight like this where I felt like I was much better than the guy everywhere — and that it wouldn’t be much of a challenge — was the Leonardo (Santos) fight, and I ended up losing that fight. This one is about testing my mental ability, my mental strength. A championship-level fighter approaches every fight like it’s a championship.”
