MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Legacy FC 62 middleweight Cortez Coleman as he prepares for his upcoming main event title fight tomorrow night (Friday, November 11, 2016) against Rafael Lovato Jr at Firelake Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
“The Crazy Cowboy” will be fighting in his home state, just like Lovato, and despite stepping in as a replacement, he feels extremely confident that he can pull off the victory:
“I feel like I have nothing to lose and a lot to gain. [Rafael Lovato Jr]’s never been punched the way I’m gonna punch him. He’s never been hit or even tested. It’s a whole different world. He’s been doing jiu-jitsu his whole life and I respect that but it’s a different ballgame when you ain’t got that gi on and you’ve got somebody that’s not afraid of you, somebody that’s been visualizing beating you and who’s gonna beat you and who’s 100 percent confident that I can beat you. I’m ready for it. He doesn’t impress me or anything. I respect his ground game and that’s it.
