Props that Cashed BIG at UFC Fight Night 98

Tony FergusonFive Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here’s five UFC Fight Night 98 prop bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers. 1) Tony Ferguson by Decision (+830) Tony Ferguson went the distance with former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos and defeated him via unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards. “El Cucuy” came out on top in his first UFC main event, making it nine wins for himself inside the Octagon and making a strong case as the next contender to the UFC’s 155-pound title. Those of you who wagered on the TUF 13 winner to walk away with a victory on the cards were incredibly wise and lucky, as you cashed out at a whopping +830! Congratulations are definitely in order to you! I can’t believe I completely glanced over and missed this line while doing my props article for the card. Would have been an easy value play to make, I think. I’m upset I did not see it. 2) Ricardo Lamas by Submission (+650) Ricardo Lamas came back from a rough first round to defeat Charles “Do Bronx” Oliveira via guillotine choke in the second round of action. It was a much needed and emotional victory for Lamas, who dedicted the win to his mother who is battling cancer and team-mate Josh Samman who passed away last month. If you were wise enough to get on the Lamas by Submission train, then you cashed out at a beautiful +650! Congratulations are certainly in order, especially if you tailed me on the play. 3) Martin Bravo by T/KO (+525) Martin Bravo defeated Claudio Puelles via second round TKO to become to the TUF Latin America 3 winner. It was a great debut for Bravo, who looks to have a bright future inside the Octagon, be it at 155 or 145-pounds. It is likely he will drop back down to featherweight following his debut at lightweight. If you wagered on Bravo to defeat Puelles via T/KO, then congrats to you, as you made out with an excellent +525! 4) Douglas Silva de Andrade by T/KO (+350) In a very close back and forth fight in which he appeared to be slightly behind, Douglas Silva de Andrade put it on Henry Briones in the third and final round of action, hurting him and ultimately forcing the referee to step in and half the action following a pair of seemingly brutal strikes. The Brazilian got his hand raised and those who were counting on him to win by T/KO enjoyed cashing in their +350 tickets. Congrats to them. 5) Sam Alvey by Decision (+390) Sam Alvey defeated Alex Nicholson via unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards following three back and forth rounds of action. Congratulations are in order to those who wagered on Alvey to win this fight via decision, as you cashed out at a solid +390. A $100 parlay on these five props would have netted $961,142.
