UFC Fight Night 98’s Sam Alvey: ‘The gameplan is to make myself as uncomfortable as I can’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 98 middleweight Sam Alvey as he prepares for his upcoming preliminary card bout tonight (Saturday, November 5, 2016) against Alex Nicholson at Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico.

Alvey will be fighting at high altitude in advance of this contest and he’s doing some special preparation for the bout:

“It’s more to teach myself the pacing I need. From everything I’ve read, you need 4-6 weeks to adapt to high elevation. The gameplan is I make myself as uncomfortable as I can and see how I perform like that… I’m going up to Big Bear four to five days early, coming back to go trick or treating and then I’m heading out to Mexico.”
