While Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) isn’t holding any events this weekend (or the last two weeks), there are still plenty of huge fights taking place in the near future. The most recent season of The Ultimate Fighter features flyweights coached by Joseph Benavidez and Henry Cejudo, and the two will clash in the main event of the TUF 24 Finale in just over a month on December 3rd. UFC 206 will take place a week later on December 10th in Toronto and features the light heavyweight title fight between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson. That bout already has odds released, but several excellent scraps do not. That’s where Nick Kalikas comes in. He’ll be opening odds for the exciting men’s featherweight number one contender bout between former lightweight champion Anthony Pettis and red hot Max Holloway. There are several more high profile bouts announced and they aren’t all taking place in the UFC. Bellator is getting in on the action with some major title fights taking place over the next few months. Bellator 163 will take place next week on November 4th and will feature a light heavyweight title bout between former top UFC contender Phil Davis and current Bellator light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary. The action will continue with a special Saturday event on November 19th in a massive lightweight bout between former UFC champion Benson Henderson and current Bellator two-time lightweight champion Michael Chandler. Last but not least, Bellator will kick off 2017 with a feature attraction between two of the biggest mouths in MMA as veterans Chael Sonnen and Tito Ortiz will clash in a light heavyweight showdown at Bellator 170 on January 21st in California.
