MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 162 heavyweight Chase Gormley as he prepares for his upcoming preliminary card bout this Friday night (October 21, 2016) against Bobby Brents at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.
The UFC veteran has done his homework heading into this bout and he’s hoping his training partners have helped him prepare to earn a victory and build back some momentum:
“[Bobby Brents’] body type is really hard to fight. I’ve got to play it smart. He wants to sit in there and brawl. He wants to stay in the pocket so he can throw those big haymakers, grab that snatch single and get you to the ground. He knows how to win. He’s not a dumb fighter, he’s 17-5. To me, I’ve got to stay at range, make him make mistakes, walk into my punches, walk into my takedowns and not try to force it into his game.”
