Ronda Rousey vs. Amanda Nunes set for UFC 207 UFC President Dana White announced Wednesday on “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd on FS1 that former women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will return at UFC 207 against current champion Amanda Nunes. In addition our own Nick Kalikas released the opening line for the championship matchup via ESPN. Rousey (12-1) heads into this matchup off her shocking second-round knockout loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 last November. Nunes(13-4) defeated Miesha Tate at UFC 200 back in July to capture the title. The Brazilian is currently riding a four-fight win streak. UFC 207 takes place Dec. 30, a Friday, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Paige VanZant vs. Michelle Waterson headlines UFC on FOX 22 Dana White broke the news Wednesday on “UFC Tonight” that Paige VanZant will headline UFC on FOX 22 in Sacramento against Michelle Waterson. VanZant (7-2) is coming off a highlight reel victory over Bec Rawlings at UFC on FOX 21 in Vancouver this past August. The victory put the Dancing With the Stars contestant back in the win column after her devastating loss to Rose Namajunas back in December. Waterson (13-4) hasn’t fought since her successful UFC debut at the TUF 21 Finale in July 2015. The “Karate Hottie” has won seven of her last eight fights. UFC on FOX 22 will take place at the Golden 1 Center, and also features a grudge match between welterweights Mickey Gall and Sage Northcutt. ‘King Mo’ Lawal vs. Satoshi Ishii main event set for Bellator 169 Bellator officials announced Wednesday that Muhammad ‘King Mo’ Lawal will take on Satoshi Ishii in the main event of Bellator 169 in Dublin, Ireland. Lawal (19-5) had his seven-fight win streak snapped in his last bout, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Phil Davis at Bellatro 154. Ishii (14-6-1) has gone 2-3 in his last five fights and came up short in his Bellator debut, losing via split decision to Rampage Jackson at Bellator 157.
