Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 166:
- The vacant LFA welterweight title is on the line when Geraldo Neto takes on Magnus Conrado. Neto has won his last four fights in a row heading into this bout and he holds a 1-0 record in LFA. He has fought a high level of competition during his MMA career, including defeats to Ikram Aliskerov and Michel Pereira. As for Conrado, he has won nine of his last 10 fights heading into this title matchup. This is a fantastic matchup on paper between two quality Brazilian welterweight prospects, with Neto as a slight favorite.
- Also on the card is a featherweight bout between Jose Delano and Fabricio Soares. Delano lost his last fight but he had won three straight fights in LFA before that, holding a 3-1 record in the organization. As for Soares, he has won 12 straight fights heading into this bout. It’s another solid matchup between two featherweights who look to make a mark in LFA. Given Delano’s experience fighting in the organization, you have to favor him to win this bout, but with Soares having such a long win streak, don’t count him out either.
- All in all, it looks like a very solid LFA card in Brazil featuring a ton of talented fighters.
