Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC Vegas 104 Opening Odds:
- The main event of UFC Vegas 104 is a rematch between middleweights Marvin Vettori and Roman Dolidze. Vettori won the first fight by a close, unanimous decision. Vettori hasn’t fought in two years since he lost a decision to Jared Cannonier. As for Dolidze, he has won his last two fights over Kevin Holland and Anthony Smith, and overall, he is 2-1 since his loss to Vettori. This should be a very close fight between two middleweight fighters who are looking to keep their spot near the top of the pack, with a slight lean to Vettori for winning the first fight.
- In the co-main event, we have welterweights Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos and Chidi Njokuani going at it in a battle of veterans. Dos Santos is coming off a quick TKO win over Zachary Scroggin that snapped a two-fight losing skid for the Brazilian. As for Njokuani, he has gone 2-0 since moving down to welterweight, with wins over Jared Gooden and Rhys McKee. Although Njokuani has looked great as of late, dos Santos has far more experience in the weight class and deserves to be the slight favorite heading into this welterweight bout.
