Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds For Dana White’s Contender Series 69:
- Middleweights Andrey Pulyaev and Liam Anderson meet in the main event of DWCS 69. Pulyaev comes from Schlemenko FC and he rides into this bout on a four-fight win streak. Most of his career wins have come by stoppage and he appears to be an intriguing prospect at 185 lbs. Anderson comes from CFFC and is riding a four-fight win streak into this bout with victories in LFA and BTC. Most of his wins have also come by stoppage, so stylistically, this should be a very fun fight. Overall I like this main event fight. Pulyaev does appear to be the more dangerous fighter so he is the favorite heading into the matchup.
- Also on the card is a featherweight bout between Michael Aswell and Bogdan Grad. Aswell is a Fury FC prospect who has won his last two fights in a row. He has only been a pro for three years and has won all but one of his bouts since then. Grad was on DWCS last year and was knocked out by Tom Nolan but he is getting another chance after having won his last two fights. He looks like a really good prospect at 145 lbs and this should be a fun fight between two finishers. Given Grad’s prior DWCS experience, he likely has the upper hand here.
