Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC Vegas 95 Opening Odds:
- The main event of UFC Vegas 95 features a rematch between Marcin Tybura and Serghei Spivac. Tybura is coming off a submission win over Tai Tuivasa, which was very impressive. Spivac, meanwhile, lost to Ciryl Gane in his last fight, a defeat that snapped a three-fight win streak. This should be a competitive fight in a rematch of a fight that first took place in 2020, with Tybura winning a decision. The odds are a Pick ’em this time around, but the early money has come in on Spivac, making him a small betting favorite as we get closer to the fight.
- The co-main event features Javid Basharat and Chris Gutierrez. Basharat is coming off an upset loss to Aiemann Zahabi which was a disappointing defeat for a fighter who was undefeated in the UFC before that. As for Gutierrez, he is coming off a loss to Song Yadong. Although Basharat saw his win streak snapped in his last fight, he is still one of the top prospects at 135 lbs. Gutierrez is solid, but he has been on a decline as of late. While you can’t count Gutierrez out of winning this fight, Basharat is the rightful favorite here.
