Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC 304 Opening Odds:

  • The main event of UFC 304 features Leon Edwards against Belal Muhammad in a rematch. These two met three years ago, with the fight ending in a No Contest due to an eye poke. This time around, Edwards is now the UFC welterweight champion and a decent-sized favorite to defend his belt. Edwards has been on a roll since that first fight with four straight wins, while Muhammad has won five in a row. That all leads to what should be an incredible rematch. Edwards deserves to be the favorite here as the champ, but don’t count out Muhammad.
  • The co-main event of UFC 304 sees Tom Aspinall take on Curtis Blaydes in a rematch. These two fought two years ago, with Blaydes winning via first-round injury TKO. This time around, Aspinall is now the UFC interim heavyweight champion and he will be looking to defend his belt. Aspinall comes into this bout on a two-fight stoppage win streak while Blaydes won his last fight by knockout. It will be interesting to see how this fight differs in comparison to how the first fight went between these two. The betting odds see Aspinall as a sizeable favorite for this one, which makes sense given he is the champion as well as the younger fighter.
