Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC Vegas 93 Opening Odds:
- The main event of UFC Vegas 93 sees Alex Perez take on Tatsuro Taira in a five-round flyweight bout. Perez is coming off a huge KO win over Matheus Nicolau in his last fight that snapped a three-fight losing skid for the former title contender. Taira, meanwhile, has won five straight fights in the UFC and is unbeaten in his MMA career with a perfect 15-0 record. Although Perez is a veteran of the sport who has far more experience, Taira is undefeated and it’s hard to go against him here even though Perez looked fantastic in his last outing.
- In the co-main event, we have Ikram Aliskerov taking on Antonio Trocoli. Aliskerov is 2-0 in the UFC and he looks like someone who could be a future title contender at 185 lbs. As for Trocoli, he is making his UFC debut here after spending time on the regional scene. Although Trocoli is a decent fighter, he is taking this fight on short notice for the injured Andre Muniz and is now taking on a stud fighter in Aliskerov. You have to go with Aliskerov, which is why he is a massive favorite to win the fight.
