Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 182:
- The main event of LFA 182 sees Mitchel McKee taking on Jose Hernandez in a bantamweight bout. McKee is unbeaten at 5-0 so far in his professional MMA career, with a perfect 4-0 record in LFA plus another victory in Bellator. He has performed great so far in his career and he appears to be a prospect on the rise who could one day make it to the UFC. As for Hernandez, he has fought once so far in LFA, losing that fight in 2023, although he hasn’t lost since then and comes into this bout off a decision win in his last bout. While Hernandez does have a little bit of experience in LFA, it pales in comparison to the experience that McKee has. There is a reason why McKee opened up as the betting favorite here, and he should win this.
- As for the co-main event, we have Khasein Shaikhaev and Michel Lima fighting at a 140 lbs catchweight. Khasein is filling in on short notice for his injured brother Khusein. Khasein is coming off his first career loss but was unbeaten before that. As for Lima, he is coming off a win in his last fight heading into this contest.
