Here are my quick thoughts on the PFL 2024: Week 3:
- The main event of PFL 3 is a welterweight bout between Magomed Umalatov and Andrey Koreshkov. Umalatov is undefeated at 14-0 in his MMA career, which includes a perfect 5-0 mark in PFL. As for Koreshkov, he is the former Bellator welterweight champion and he is coming off a five-fight win streak, including a win over Lorenz Larkin in his last fight. Although Koreshkov is highly experienced, Umalatov is the favorite here due to being undefeated. Go with Umalatov to keep his perfect record intact here.
- The co-main event of PFL 3 is a featherweight tournament bout between Brendan Loughnane and Pedro Carvalho. Loughnane is coming off an upset KO loss to Jesus Pinedo in last year’s tournament which, at the time was shocking, but in hindsight, we know now that Pinedo is a very good fighter in his own right. As for Carvalho, he is coming off a brutal knockout loss to Aaron Pico in Bellator in his last fight. Although Carvalho has good experience fighting in Bellator, Loughnane is the better fighter and he has had plenty of success in PFL. Loughnane is the favorite to win this fight and by all m means it makes sense that he is favored to win.
