Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 178:
- The main event of LFA 178 sees Uran Satybaldiev take on Bruno Assis for the interim LFA light heavyweight title. Satybaldiev made his LFA debut last year and he picked up a decision win in his debut for the promotion. As for Assis, he is 2-1 overall in LFA and he knocked out Jesse Murray in his last fight for the promotion. He has a lot of experience, having fought Andre Muniz on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2018. Still, Assis has quite a few losses on his resume, and that is likely why the oddsmakers opened up Satybaldiev as the favorite here.
- The co-main event of LFA 178 is a welterweight bout between Miguel Jacob and Jeff Creighton. Jacob is just 1-2 all-time in LFA, but he has won his last three fights in a row, including a win in LFA over Ryan Leininger in his last outing. As for Creighton, this is his first fight in LFA but he has competed for a number of other notable promotions in the past including Bellator and Cage Warriors. Given the run that Creighton has been on lately, he opened up the betting favorite for this bout even though this fight marks his LFA debut.
