Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC Vegas 85 Opening Odds:
- The main event of UFC Vegas 85 is a five-round middleweight bout between Roman Dolidze and Nassourdine Imavov. Dolidze is coming off a close decision loss to Marvin Vettori in his last fight which snapped a four-fight win streak for the knockout artist. The loss to Vettori has taken some steam out of the sails from Dolidze, who had been on a tear before that. As for Imavov, he is coming off a No Contest with Chris Curtis and he lost a decision to Sean Strickland before that. Still, Imavov was looking good in the Curtis fight before it was a No Contest. While Dolidze opened up as a slight favorite here, Imavov is now the betting favorite.
- In the co-main event, we have Drew Dober fighting Renato Moicano at lightweight. Dober knocked out Ricky Glenn in his last fight and he has won four of his last five fights overall. As for Moicano, he is coming off a submission win over Brad Riddell, but it was in November 2022. Due to the layoff, Moicano opened as the underdog, but he is now the betting favorite in what looks like a striker vs. grappler type of matchup.
