Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for Cage Warriors 163:
- The main event of Cage Warriors 163 is a vacant CWFC welterweight title bout between Omeil Brown and Giannis Basar. Brown is a Team Renegade product who is coming off a knockout win in his last bout. All of his pro bouts have been fought under the CWFC banner, where he carries an overall record of 6-2. As for Bachar, the Greek mixed martial artist knocked out former UFC fighter Carlo Pedersoli in his last fight in CWFC, and overall he has won seven straight fights. This should be a really good fight between two solid prospects. Brown has more experience in CWFC, but I think Basar has a great chance to pull off the upset in this one.
- Also on the card is a middleweight bout between Will Currie and Wallison Henrique. Currie has a 6-3 record in CWFC and he is coming off a knockout win in his last bout. As for Henrique, he is making his CWFC debut in this bout. He has competed in several notable promotions around the world such as Jungle Fight. Although Henrique is a bit of a wild card here, Currie has far more experience fighting tough fights in CWFC and he is the clear favorite in this one.
